Memphis for Thanksgiving

Two words sum up Memphis: FOOD and FUN!

Bailey agreed to a tractor ride, but only after Uncle Gary told him he could drive!

Morgan is an old pro...and looks forward to Uncle Gary's tractor as one of his favorite parts of going to Memphis.

Leaves

Blackbeard's hideaway.

Buddies!

BON FIRE with hot dogs and marshmallows coming up...

Uncle Gary uses diesel and a blower to get his fires started. It is a refined process that shouldn't be attempted by amateurs!

PARK DAY!

Bailey thinks the universal swing is pretty cool, especially when Gramps or Uncle Gary are the pushers.

The big kids
take a walk around the lake with Uncle Gary and Gramps.
Emory prefers to explore other things.

We also ate Thanksgiving dinner at Aunt Sharon and Uncle John's...don't know where the camera was for that. And went to the Memphis zoo for their Christmas lights. The kids got to see Santa's reindeer (Shelby thought they were girls because they had "high heels" for feet) My personal favorite was the wolves. A highlight for Morgan was the reptile house, where he identified a copperhead and a tree snake without looking at the label and the anaconda painted on the floor!!

We really had a great time. What a great family we have!!
