The BEACH!!!

Off to the Beach we go!
First family vacation with just the 6 of us.
The kids are so excited they can hardly sit still.
Austen is "fake sleeping" to make the trip go faster.
I think she lasted 5 minutes.
Morgan grinned like that the whole drive!

That is the zoomed view from our Pent House balcony.
Kenneth and the three big kids are in the line going out to the beach.
Austen thought it was really cool to see the tops of kites from our balcony.

Morgan was a bit skeptical that first day...but...
by the end of the week he was a certified beach bum
and expert wave jumper.

Emory was a bit confused, but content to play in the wet sand.

They kept closing the beach due to the big schools of fish
and the shark lunching on those fish!
See the haze in the ocean...that is a school of fish.
Kenneth could see the shark darting in and out, and actually saw a 3 foot tiger shark
close to shore.
Emory wanted to do forward rolls in the neat sand.

cheese grin...wore it most of the trip!

My calm "out of the ocean" children.
These two preferred the beach and the
"hot and toasty."

These are my wild and crazy, "let's JUMP waves" children!
They would have stayed in the water all 7 days, breaking only for
"Hakuna Matatas...aka Pina Coladas"
Bailey started getting braver towards the end,
but still preferred the shallow water.

Had to see the Aquarium, and catch some lunch
at Margaritaville!
That is Austen's, "What? I didn't just fall asleep
watching the sting ray, honest!" face.
They played hard all week, and slept like rocks!
This night I had to put everyone back in their beds.
Austen and Bailey were hanging off.
Morgan was jumping waves in his sleep and
fell completely off his palet.
She is SO little in front of that big ocean.

This sand castle lasted through the tides.
It was really cool!
Look at the picture above to see how it started out.

Sun Princess in her castle... being washed away.

Mer-Bailey

Trish steals a kiss.

It took until the last day, but Emory finally decided the ocean was okay.
Before that she preferred the sand and the "hot and toasty!"
