Christmas 2011

Christmas 2011 was a great time in the Land house. We did all our usual things... decorating the house, making cookies and reindeer food for Santa and his team to put out on Christmas Eve, building gingerbread houses, school parties, the Christmas story at church, winter concerts, and a whole LOT of family time and memories! Just one of our 4 trees... this is the girls' tree

Emory had NO interest in being up in front of everyone at church

Christmas celebration with the Landclan and the Richters is a great way to spend time with family.

Brandon is too cute. He kept crawling towards the camera.

One of my favorite pictures

Gramps and Gramma trying to figure out Gramps' new techno-gizmo so they can take our yearly Christmas picture.

After celebrating with Gramma and Gramps we had to get home and put out cookies for Santa and food for the reindeer. As tradition holds we also read the true Christmas story before snuggling down to go to sleep.

Unfortunately for Mommy and Daddy our very excited children thought 4am was a perfect time to start Christmas day. When Kenneth went to put them back to bed after hearing Emory's bell-roll laughter at 4:30 Morgan had already read the Christmas story 3 times, brushed everyone's hair and teeth and had them in their housecoats... needless to say Christmas morning started several hours later.

...can we come down now...

I am ready..

So excited

stocking time

disbelief that Santa gave him a pocket knife when Daddy said he couldn't have one...

and a wallet.

Bailey likes to relax as he opens his stocking.

Emory got her "blue boots" and she has worn them ever since!

We spent the afternoon at Grammy and Nandad's with Rob, Carly and the Stiles. We had a nice relaxing day together just enjoying great food and even better company.

Morgan got books for Christmas from the Stiles...the perfect present for our little bookworm.

Emory took her house from Grammy, her princesses from the Stiles, and her blocks from Rob and Carly and spent the rest of the day in her very own world.

Nandad took a little nap amidst all the fun and noise.

Keily got a feather kit and "feathered" all the girls in the family--even cool Grammy

Alyssa had a spa on the other side of the house.

I was a very willing customer...

and so is Emory.
