SNOW....SUN....RAIN???

CRAZY NC WEATHER!!!

On the evening of March 1st it started snowing....a lot!!! Austen and Kenneth played out in the snow for an hour and made a snowman. Austen kept saying, "Brr Daddy, it is cold out here." but everytime he offered to bring her inside she declined. The boys didn't get to play that night because they hadn't behaved well in the car. So Austen had a special Daddy evening complete with a hot butter rum, and a snuggle on the couch while the boys had to go to bed at bedtime and miss out on all the fun. They made sure they were up early and ready for the snow on the 2nd though....and they behaved all day:)


Austen asked Kenneth if they could make a "Frosty" with a carrot nose and chocolate butttons and eyes. Kenneth had a hard time convincing her that it wasn't chocolate; but charcoal! The next day Morgan rescued Frosty's nose from Jakie!!! Austen was so irate that Jakie was getting it that she could hardly form words and finally blurted, "Morgan, get it. Get it!" And like a good big brother he did save Frosty's nose, although they later decided to feed it to the dogs anyway. Who knew those crazy dogs would later also eat the charcoal.....

Can we go out yet???

If you look closely you can tell that Morgan is "sneaking" up on an unexpecting Daddy!!

Now notice that Morgan's hat has snow on it....Daddy gives as good as he gets!!

Bailey decided the slide would be the perfect way to experience the snow.

And now one week later on the 7th of March it is 84 + degrees outside. The children were literally outside for 4 solid days. I did manage to get breakfast and dinner in them in the kitchen, but lunch was served on the fort!!

Emory LOVES to swing!! I think she would swing for hours....actually I think she did swing for hours!

And one week later on March 14th it is COLD and RAINY! The kids are so sad they can't play outside, and Austen keeps asking, "when will it be warm again so I can wear my new clothes." The boys are getting lots of "fusses" about their pent up energy and running in the house!

What to do with this crazy NC weather!!??
