Emory's chair

We just realized that Emory is 8 months old and not sitting independently. So in a freak-out moment I ordered her a Bumbo chair to help solve this issue. She is probably not sitting due to the fact that she has horrible ear infections that have thrown off her equilibrium. And because she is such a content baby we sort of take for granted that she is happy reclining in a bouncy chair. Last week she could sit for no more than a few seconds before flopping to the floor. So through the concerted effort of every member of her family (including Jake) she is now sitting for long periods of time without flopping onto the floor even without the Bumbo.

Notice who is sitting in the chair. It must be really comfy; I can't keep Bailey out of it!

Here's Jakie and Emory playing on the floor. Jake is almost always right beside her now. Not much different then when he used to follow Keily all over the house 7 years ago, or when he let Austen crawl all over him 4 years ago. Poor old guy has a lot of responsibilities with his two-legged counter-parts.
