Land Family Garden!!!

This past Saturday, May 16th, we decided to plant the "Land Family Garden"!!! Kerstin has become quite the "from scratch" mommy - so what better thing to have to continue and expand the dynamics than a garden in the yard!!! After a trip to Lowes and Gramps' to get the tiller - we were ready to go - I couldn't have gotten this project finished without my little helpers -

Actually Austen probably was the big shock of the day. She really got in there and was just covered with mud and muck! Yes - my little princess got dirt under her nails and is quite the country farm girl! She had a blast!!! Granted she has her mommy's patience. Sunday morning she said she wanted to eat some of the yummy food we planted...got a few weeks to wait Austie Bear!!!

Austen was most excited about planting the squash. Yes that is my little girl on her hands and knees in the mud! Her poor dress, hair, and body were covered in red clay, and mud - but oh was it worth it!

More peppers! Hoping for a lot of salsa this coming fall!

Well even if the deer, racoons, possums, squirrels, birds, cats, mice, chipmunks, moles, or whatever else lives out here eats everything we planted - the fun we had this past Saturday will have been well worth it. The smiles even make the fact I can't touch my toes yet worth it too!


4 Regular Tomato Plants, 1 Cherry Tomato Plant, 5 Squash, 2 Red Chili Plants, 1 Jalapeno, 1 Red Pepper, 1 Bell Pepper, 2 Oregano Plants, 1 Parsley Plant and not sure exactly how many Squash Zuchini seeds I stuck in. This could be interesting if nothing else! Hopefully we will have plenty and enough to share!
